Can't seem to find anyone who sells them other than the rifle shop. I found handgonnes.com but believe they are out of business, is there any other place I can get them premade?

Would love to find someone who makes whee locks as well.

I'll second (3rd?) FreekForge. I bought one of his barrels and a friend in Haines, AK bought another. We are both happy with them especially for the prices.

About the only reasonable wheellock on the market is an Indian import that several dealers carry: http://www.loyalistarms.freeservers.com/Wheellock.htm I own one of these. It has required some tuning and I still need to work on the pan opener.

As you can see, it is almost carbine sized and .60 cal. Fun gun. I hope to take pictures of the new handgonne when we start getting a little more daylight to work with here.

Karl;
Love the pyrite fireworks. But the white stuff?

Are you still trying to convince us it snows in Juneau?

It does occasionally snow here too; maybe not as much as some parts of the l. 48 are claiming this season. Mostly it rains. And snains, rows, sleets, hails, drizzles, etc... If the Yupik can have 40 words for snow then we need 50 for rain and rain-ish stuff. It has stayed between 30F and 40F for a week or so. At this time of year I drive to work in the dark and drive home well after dark so not many opportunities to play with new outdoor toys like my new handgonne or airplane parts. :(

Old times, of which I'm rapidly become one, used to say about Texas "blue northers":

"First it rained,then it snew,
then it friz, then it thew,
then it rained some more!"

Anyone with a metal lathe can make you one. It's a steel bar with a couple holes drilled into it.

I've bought enough of them from freekforge to equip an army (well, maybe a squad). Give him a shot, he makes cool stuff.

As long as they use the proper metal. Freek will do it right. What sort of gonne are you after?

Thanks for the replies guys, sorry about it taking so long to post again my internet access can be a bit limited at times.

As far as what type of gonne I really have no idea. Dont know to much about them and having never fired one( or seen one) dont know really where to start.

Freek will show you a picture of a .50 Vase he is just dying to make for you...

Back in old days we'd say, "Way Cool!" Brunhilde really smoked'em up good. It was truly fun to watch. I sat here for over an hour enjoying episode after episode of "The Perils of Tele"! Seeing your ladies on your site is bad enough...seeing you shoot them is X10 on the 'neat chart'. Loved the kibitzing going on in the back ground too. You may have been distracted but I was getting a giggle out of the reaction going on behind you down the shooting line! :haha: Bet the AK crowd goes, "Oh God, it's him again!" Give'm hell and keep your powder dry!

Found another place that sells/manufactures wheellocks and even swivel guns.

I wont post the website here but I was surprised at what it was called lol. Has something to do with pirates.

Blast from the past, June of 2005, me with a Handgonnes Design Siege Breaker, 4-bore Jupiter Model. All shots used a .995 wheel weight lead ball. Zeus 65 grains Pyrodex RS

Now you're deaf AND smelling like sulfur! :rotf:
We used to have a company in Austin that made hadngonnes of different types. They even had one with a added on axe blade that I thought looked really sinister. Don't know what became of them...don't even remember the company's name. My senior moments are turning into half hours!
