The NMLRA is hosting the Hawken Classic in Defiance, MO at the Historic Daniel Boone Home on April 29 - May 1, 2022. This is the 200 year anniversary of the J&S Hawken rifle and it’s going to be a great celebration!! Learn all about it here: Hawken Classic.
Vendors and Rendezvous Campers must register. Visitors only need to show up. Seminars throughout the event.

Here's a shooting bag I made and donated to the NMLRA to raffle at the Hawken classic. Just finished within the last few days and don't know how much the raffle tickets will cost.

Probably way fancier than a Longhunter or mountain man would have carried but it's a showpiece.
Even though it's fully usable as a shooting bag, I have to admit hanging on a wall along with other goodies would be better..

you know i would have thought there would be a lot more buzz on this forum about this event with as much interest in Hawken rifles on here I will be there setup. this event seems to be gaining ground on attendance. I can tell any that have never been to the boone home site in Defiance Mo. it is a quality site to hold this event

Hopefully some one will do a roll call the 1st part of April of whom are going.

Would really to be nice to see a list of vendors going and what they are taking to sell.

Have not made motel reservations yet, waiting to see what gas does.

I'll be there, I'm just a one-man operation blanket trader but I'll have several pairs of buckskin pants and a good supply of shooting bags. Probably a good selection of just odds and ins also.
I also donated 4 cords of wood for the event to keep all the fires burning. I'll be delivering the wood on the 10th of April.

I think some of the reason the event isn’t being discussed. Is not many members routinely check the events area here. I know I don’t check often. Maybe if this could be added to say general muzzle loading. It would get seen by more. Just a idea.

There'll be lots of temptation at that camp big and small. Good thing I'll be tried up doing demos on making buckskin pants that way I won't spend as much.

come on fireman! legal shooting time is 6 am you call, bird flies down. he gobbles you sweet talk. cluck, cluck bird struts in to you 20 yards you shoot bird drops. its now 615 maybe 630 if you had a tough morning. Done now you have all weekend left to be at the classic problem solved your welcome!
