Anyone own a full stock hawkins and would like to share so pics of them. thinking about building one. thats why i asked
I fitted two, 2" long screws in the wood under the toeplate and glued the piece on, then put the toeplate back. Now I reinforce the toe with long screws under the toeplate of each Hawken I build, to reinforce the toe. The Bridger Hawken has the toeplate riveted to the buttplate with a 1/16" rod. When the Green River Rifle Works had the rifle , they took the buttplate and toeplate off, still riveted together.Nice work on all Herb. How did the repair come out on the broken toe?

There you go !!Well then, to correct my misspelling, it's not a Hawken I built. I should have spelled it "Plains rifle".
