Just got my first muzzleloader, a new Lyman Great Plains hunter .50. Looking forward to learning how to shoot this thing.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum my friend!

The Lyman Great Plains Hunter is a very good rifle! As you already probably know, your barrel twist is fast and is made to shoot conicals. Anyway, you can search the forum and find plenty of information on the GPR and GPH.

This is the best place to learn about Traditional muzzleloaders and BP shooting! The forum also covers all the other aspects that go along with it.

This is a very friendly forum made up of like minded folks as yourself! It is also a lively place with new topics being created on a daily basis.

The majority of the members here have decades of knowledge and experience. They would be more than glad to answer any questions that you may have or may come up. We would also love to hear from you as well!

I guarantee you will learn alot here and continue to grow in knowledge every time you visit this forum. I learn something new on a daily basis. Besides asking questions, we have a " Search " feature which is located at the top of the forum's pages. It is a great tool to use for research. You can find alot of old topics that cover pretty much everything you want to know about your muzzleloader or BP shooting.

You have came to the right place and we are glad that you have found us. We also look forward to hearing from you in the the very near future. Good luck with your Lyman Great Plains Hunter. I hope you enjoy it!
