newbie to flintlock guns I am looking to buy my first historical rifle and learn to shoot it with my son Im reading a few books now on how Kentucky and Pennsylvania guns came about and I sure could use some help I posted in the flintlock forum on a gun titled "

1773 Belgian Flintlock Regiment marked ???"

I sure could use some help after reading a bit I am now thinking the gun I posted could be German ,Belgian , English, Khyber pass fake out and I have no idea why this is in bold large letters so please excuse my newbie ignorance

One more Howdy from North Texas and welcome to the forum. I'm born and bred on the Muddy Red.
I picked over Track of the Wolf's catalog and decided what type early flintlock to build. They have many representations of early guns, but no one agrees 100%. That's what makes the Mare kick.
