I live in Bonner Springs Kansas and am not new to muzzle loading just been away from it for a few years. I portrayed a Rogers Rangers unit in a local group for about three years and enjoyed it. Of course the group was mostly mountain men and a few colonial era men so I felt out of place but they accepted it. I am eager to get back out in the field and have plans to check out another muzzle loading group just west of me located in Junction City, Kansas. I look forward to meeting new friends on this site.

Welcome to the camp, JakeM. You have come to a good place. Lots of knowledgeable folks here, a good place to learn, and to share your knowledge.

You might want to share some pics of your outfit and gear, in the "Share Your Persona" section.

Someone may come by and hook you up with others in your area, as well.

Thank you for the welcome Grumpa. I would like to see if there are fellow members in my area who share the interest on muzzleloading and 18th c persona. I don't have digital pictures just paper film from shots taken from my old group I was with. I will work on pictures of what I have and post to the site.

Welcome from a little ways west of ya Jake.
BTW, there is a club in Overbrook that is closer than JC. The First Santa Fe Trail Plainsman shoots the 3rd Sunday of every month and has a small weekend rondy coming up in March.

Welcome Jake, I live in Hays now But hail from down around the Dodge city area, glad to see another Kansan on the forum. my club is more of a shooters club than reenactors but we have a nice range and hold a public shoot the first weekend in April.
