Just a quick post to say hello to everyone.

Built my first muzzloader from a late 1970's CVA Hawken kit when I was a sophmore in high school.

I have hunted with that gun over thirty years in three diferent states. My two boys have grown up shooting that gun, so its been a workhorse.

I have been feeling the bug to build a new gun, this time a flintlock a much earlier period gun.

Guess the saying is true; the older one gets the tendency is to refer back to ones childhood. :thumbsup:

Hayden ID - Hmmm, I used to shoot with the CdA Muzzleloaders at Hudlow Meadows, and Farragut State Park. I enjoyed my time up in north Idaho.

Welcome to the forum

Welcome, I'm a newbie to all this.. I don't have the background you do, but I'm looking forward to all that I can learn from such a fine group as this. And, contribute when I can. :hatsoff:

The CDA Muzzleloaders still exist.

I have not joined; yet, but plan to in the future.

Hello Snake-eyes;

I was raised up in the Hebron - Buckeye Lake Area;

Back in those days there was plenty of country for a young boy to roam. That has all changed now. :(
