Hi - taken too long for me to join - I've been shooting Muzzleloaders for over 50 years; Mostly percussion but do have 44Cal Maurice Taylor made 1570's Dutch style Matchlock; 1763 Charleville; 40Cal Bucks County Flinter; .40cal Bedford County - a collaboration with Maurice and myself(mostly Maurice). My 'knock-about' gun is an extensively modified CVA 45 Kentucky ( L&R RPL etc). There's a few more too of course including 3 original pieces.
I've shot MLAIC Champs 3 times and Friendship (NMLRA) twice.
Like to make my own gear - just started a 58Cal Leman with a Tony Hawkins barrel - got the required parts from Pecatonica.
That's a start - looking forward to joining in!! - Bucks Co.

The headline says Nelson NZ, now I find that you are from another Nelson, NOT the one in New Zealand.

Am I confungled, or what?

HI I am definately in Nelson New Zealand - I have dealt with several US based outfits to get my supplies: Dixie; Log Cabin; R E Davis; Track of the Wolf; Douglas Barrels; Pecatonica and more - all have given me great service. We are a small bunch over here - we lost a great benefactor when Tony Hawkins passed his basic in style rifles and barrels were awesome shooters. Just ask Rudyard he knew Tony probably more closely than anyone. I tried to run a business supplying BP Shooters here but the market just too itsy for the "Colonial Gunshop" to survive. I try and shoot with a Club in Marlborough and BP Pistol with Nelson Pistol Club. I don't think you were confungled - there a lot of Nelsons around the planet - thanks for the welcome.
