Howdy all. Trying to get into muzzle loading pretty late in life. Retired in July 2019 then survived lung cancer in 2020. Have a CVA Hawken kit with a date on the barrel of 1983 that I am trying to put together. Not going as well as planned but keeping on with it. Reading a lot on here and learning from it.

I am in Lima, about half way between Toledo and Dayton. We build the Abrams tanks here.
My wife and neighbor lady are going to Kenton next week to an antique or thrift store. Wife is leaving out of Kenton in June for a bus trip to New England area also.

Longl, Mt. Victory, about 10 mi S of Kenton on 31, has some fantastic antique stores. Great place for lunch just S of town. I have a friend that works in that Lima plant with you, name is Kary. Doesn't tell me what he does, quite properly, just that he works there. He is a ML guy also, I need to install a muzzle cap on a Pedersoli for him. He is building a range where he lives - I have no place to shoot right now.
I'm an old Vietnam Vet, all crippled up, and getting around seems to get more difficult by the week. I do try to keep working on the guns, but it's hard!

My wife goes to Mt Victory to that place to shop and eats there. I believe the place is called the Plaza Inn maybe. I have never been there myself. I am retired from a stamping and welding company that makes parts for Honda. I belong to a sportsman's club not too far away so if I get the Hawken built I can go there. Hang in there and keep working on the guns.
Let me know if you need help of any kind except engraving. I shore ain't any good at that, tho I do keep trying./

Hello from Aiken, South Carolina. Just joined but have been using muzzleloaders for sometime(decades). Started with Civil War stuff and now I use a few custom built Flinters. I only own one cap lock that I built. Rifles are .50 cap, .50, .54, .62(fowler)
