Welcome from SEPA. I hunt the ANF in McKean Co. It's a challenge but the deer are there if you put time into it. I've gotten 3 deer with my Flintlocks since I started hunting with them in the late season. Last year was the first in the ANF.

Hunting with muzzleloaders is a special experience. My time hunting late season flintlock was very enjoyable but doubly challenging due to the cold and snow. Getting three deer with a flintlock is pretty impressive.

Welcome, Wood Hick. I still miss my old stomping grounds in the Alleghenies. I grew up in Bradford and still stalk the hardwood ridges for whitetails and turkeys in my sleep.
