Hello All, I am in Round Rock Texas and am new to the black powder world. I have been shooting my whole life but I have recently moved from smokeless powder to the black powder world. I have started with two Pietta percussion revolvers in the Remington 1858 pattern. My next step will be a percussion rifle, then I hope to move to a smooth bore flintlock. Looking forward to lots of fun and learning. I feel that this hobby will supplement my camping and bushcraft hobbies in many ways.

Welcome, welcome, welcome to both the real world of shooting and to the forum. Lots of nice folks here and all told, probably several thousand years of experience hunting, just shooting and generally enjoying the smoke and blast of a fine flintlock or percussion rifle or gun going off. No one knows it all and we all depend on one another for continued education. Don't hesitate to ask or share your experiences

Welcome to the Forum! :hatsoff: We are glad you found us. You are welcome here.

I drove by Round Rock, fifty-some years ago, singing "The Ballad Of Sam Bass" all the while.

Sounds like you are well on the way to being seduced by the Dark Arts. Whatever you need to know, you'll find it here.
