Been reading your forum a little and I’m hoping you guys can be of some help.

I have been shooting all my life but know very little about muzzle loaders, most of my shooting is subgun competitions and hunting wild pigs and coyotes.

I recently inherited a couple Narragansett Ferguson rifles. I seem to be having a really hard time finding much information on them. Being the gun guy of the family I was put in charge of figuring out what everything is worth in this collection of firearms. Luckily everything from old Lugers to pre lock smiths to pocket 49s I have a pretty good idea with what I’m dealing with. These Furgusons have me a little stumped.

From what I can gather 250 were made. I have number 25 and 36. Beyond what I can find on the original guns historic information and a couple of these reproductions being sold on the Rock Island Action and a couple you guys talking about them seems to be all the information I can find.

So anything you guys can tell me about them?

thanks!
