I joined the forum a couple days ago, but had to wait til after Thanksgiving to introduce myself. I have recently started enjoying muzzleloading after about a 30 year hiatus. My daughter and her boyfriend encouraged me to join them at their black powder shoots and a rendezvous, and now I am hooked.
Center-fire rifles have become boring, and I am getting too old to hunt like I used to. Muzzleloading has made me exited in a way I haven't been for years. I have two flintlocks and one percussion rifle. To start, I have practiced more with the percussion gun than the flintlocks, and my goal was to take a deer with it this year. I managed to get a 2X3 muley, so I was pleased.
I enjoy the forum so far, and have learned a lot already. Look forward to reading more good stuff from you all.
