My name is Rich, not sure exactly how I found this forum (or it found me). I presume while I was looking at the Indiana State gun, The Grouseland riffle. It kindle my interest to maybe tackle a vintage CVA kit my wife gave me as a gift back in the early 1980's. Anyway, just been reading about finishing options and such. Clearly far more experienced owners on this site than I and some of the samples I have seen are incredible. Thanks for the add to this group.

Greetings from former Ohio River Hoosier. I built my CVA .45 from that same kind of kit. Mine also said "all holes drilled and tapped." But that was not so! Be extra, extra careful drilling the holes for the forearm pins.
