New to Muzzleloaders. After a family member bought an inline I stumbled across a previously owned but unfired T/C Hawken .50 cal.. Trying to put everything together so I can get out and fire it. So far #11 caps are scarce. Not in stock anywhere locally so online it is.
I enjoy the forums and appreciate all the info. Thank You, Sage1

You probably already know but just a reminder to beware of scam websites selling hard to get #11 caps and other hard to get supplies. Big red flag is the scam websites do not take credit cards only payment methods with no recourse for scammed buyers. Searching the MLF will show more information.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your freedom in the Silver State !

Sage1 if you search the forums, you'll find some good info on homemade caps. From totally homemade to using dies by 22LR Reloader. There is even someone here who made an even better one and who knows if he will produce more end at what price. There are a few threads too on the mixture that goes in the caps. Lots to read, lots to learn! Lol
