Hello. While searching around a local shop I found this rifle. I cannot identify it, and I am curious if it is worth the asking price? (225)
I apologize for the poor quality of the photos, I was in a rush.

Thank you.

Sorry, but I can't tell much from your photographs. It appears to be a military arm, and NOT American. However, something about it just does not look right to me.
We need good photos of any and all names, numbers, and proof marks that may be stamped on it. What condition is the bore? Rifled or smoothbore? What caliber?

From what I can see in the background, that looks like an interesting shop.

I think it’s a Swedish or Norwegian or danish military rifle. I’m not up on studying them though. $225?!?! GO RIGHT NOW AND GET IT!!!!!

Also think it's Danish/Norwegian musket, could be a 1769 converted to percussion. Barrel and lock have matching numbers and looks to be in good shape.

That rifle looks like a deal @225 from what I can see.
That shop sure has a lot of nice old Stanleys too I see. But the price tags I see on them seem way over the top. Its funny he’d price the rifle cheap.

The owner of the shop probably doesn’t know about values of antique guns. They err on the side of caution here and an old beat up double with missing hammers is stamped “CSA” a priced at $5000…..

Hey all, sorry for the radio silence. Stuff has been pretty crazy. I plan on picking up the musket this Wednesday, and once I get it I'll take a ton of pictures and so fourth!!

Hello! I have retrieved the musket. Those who suggested it to be a "Danish-Norwegian" appear to be correct, I believe this was one of the flintlocks converted in the 1840s. Attached are tons of pictures - feel free to request more.

The rifle has matching markings on the stock (which is very faint), lock plate (I think that's what it's called?), and the barrel. It also has a few different symbols scattered about, including a crown. It is missing a few pins in the stock and looks to have been repaired at some point over the course of it's life. It also has screws in the stock which I do not believe to be original to the rifle. Feel free to browse the images and offer further input into the following; what exactly the rifle is, it's value, and relative condition. As I've recently become old enough to participate in Civil War reenactments, I have begun accumulating supplies for a federal kit - would it be possible I could trade or sell this in exchange for a reproduction Springfield rifle?
