I need help identifying this flintlock pistol. Have searched all over the internet and found some close but nothing that matches. Anyone recognize this or have information on where I can continue to search? I can find no proof marks on the thing anywhere.

It looks military pattern perhaps French the lack of marks suggest a commercial offering rather than a service arm but it looks 'Right' enough & nice pistol sorry I cant be more precise but there are some very expert members on this forum .

Hi,
Better and more pictures would help. I think it may be a model 1798 Austrian cavalry pistol but has had the flint cock replaced. The front barrel band looks a bit odd but that is the closest match I can make.
