I was looking for assistance for blacksmith initials "LT". I have an old spike hatchet (images below) with the stamped letters "LT". I am curious whether these letters are blacksmith initials, some sort of proof mark or something else. The font is old.

I know that the nail pull pre-dates 1880 based on the shape of it, and relates to square head nails.
