Looking to start a new hobby. Will have a ton of questions. Only have shot an inline a few times. Want to buy a flintlock for small game and deer. I fish, have started to fly fish, have shot longbows for 52 years, canoe ,kayak, camp, semi retired, don't do anything well. Really want to small game hunt more.

Ashland.........Welcome to the fun. Muzzleloading sport is very addictive. So much so that I have given up archery , fishing , most high power cartridge shooting , boating , modern trap shooting , etc..
Now , it's building b/p rifles , casting balls, frequent shooting range visits, b/p hunting , and enjoying friendships w/ other m/l sports folks. Teaching m/l rifle building. What else can an old guy need??? oldwood

Welcome from East Texas, I think you can find an answer to anything black powder related here. Just avoid the "inline" word.

Welcome aboard. Lots of info here on muzzleloaders and muzzleloading hunting. Plenty of small game aficionados too. You will find plenty of folks wiling to help too.

Welcome from Nebraska. I too am heavy into my longbow, and find that muzzle loading to be very enjoyable as well. So many options with both.

Hello from southern Wi. Also in to longbows and muzzle loaders. Retired and doing more now than before I retired.Got three longbows and two recurves in various stages of completing. A .54 rifle and a .45 pistol to complete also. Just getting into Flintlocks and loving it.
