Anybody here shot hollow bases in their revolvers?
Something like the Lyman #450229 or the #45468?
How did it work out? To me the problem is the skirt not slipping into the chambers.

Well, got a #450229 sitting around in the fun box without a base plug.

Measured the base plug opening in the blocks and it's 0.444" diameter.
What good fortune as Pietta chambers trend about 0.446"!
If a hollow base plug can be scrounged up it could make a 0.444" diameter tail on the bullets to slip into the chambers and have positive expansion to the walls when fired. That might be worth looking into.
