Anyone know anything about hunting horns ? I'm tempted to make one but don't have a clue, is there some sort of reed valve or just blowing through a cow horn? Same thing with whistles I'm thinking of making some from deer antlers, any ideas would be appreciated.

I had a blowing horn that I turned into a powder horn. Seein' as how I didn't need a blowing horn.It didn't have a reed, just about 1/4" hole which was kinda flared back towards the tip.The tip was sawed off square.
