Here's a couple horns, Top one needs a bit more work, Bottom has a cherry Plug the other walnut, both have antler tips. not sure if I'm going to antique them or not, I'm kinda liking the natural colors!

Very nice... I like the unpolished one very much. It has such a soft look about it and the range of colors in it is really nice.

Gus , I like the unpolished one myself. You know I like the different colored ones, but, It will look even better with a little color added. then you will be able to see all the different shades of the horn.

thanks for the comments guys! interesting that ya'll like the rougher horn.... :hmm: here I thought everyone would like the "pretty" horns!

well here it is after I cleaned it up a bit I think it looks better now myself.... :idunno: :hmm:

Very Nice Gus. The brown horns are generally from heritage breeds that could be found on the frontier. Most Holstein cattle, or their sub groups, have the black and white horns. Nice vintage look. I like the cherry plug. Have some drying right now. Plan on turning some plugs in a few weeks..

well, here's a teaser, then!

Not a problem, Mike! everyone has their own tastes, ya know? Me personally I like the aged look on some horns, not much on others, this one seemed like it really wanted some aging to "finish" the piece. but I appreciate your candor. :hatsoff:
