How to date my Thompson barrel and who made it

I just recently picked up a super nice 45 barrel with the breech out of it going to make it a flinter build my question is I do believe this is a fairly old barrel as it’s stamped 2131 with a star stamped on the bottoms of the barrel any info?? I do know some of the first barrels were Douglas was wondering what I have

The star stamp is a Douglas barrel, the four digit number is real early maybe first or second year made.

Was thinking it was definitely a early barrel it’s in beautiful shape
