RP50c56tb are the only markings I can find on a 50 cal 38 inch swamp barrel. Rifle was built by Roy Carter (East TN) in 1999.is there anywhere one can use this to identify the barrel vendor ?

It might help if you could post a photo of the barrel markings.

Barrel makers sometimes use certain shapes to the letters that represent their makers mark. The simple letters as you post above don't tell us much.

I could make a guess that it might be a Rice barrel or an Ed Rayl barrel. I could also guess that the "50c" represent the caliber and the "56t" represent the twist, but without seeing how they are marked on the barrel itself, it's just a WAG.

A 1:56 twist is not one of Rice's standard twist rates, so that either excludes them or the "56t" stands for something else.
