I've been lurking long enough. I'm a 63 year-old retired cop and former submariner and I've been around guns for most of my life.

I've been shooting BP in percussion revolvers, sometimes shoot my 71/84 Mauser and my old Colt SAA .45. Later, I got into BPCR with a 50-140 Sharps and my Trapdoor.

A couple of years ago I bought a Flinter which I dearly love, even if it was mis-treated by a previous owner. He has a lot of carving and engraving and curl in the stock.

This brings me up to the present. I've just started building my first rifle....A TOW "kit" of a flint, full stock Hawken. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions in the Builders Bench forum.
