Hello from Texas. I'm a service rifle shooter, hence the M1a handle but I've been hauling around a Brown Bess Musket that I made in 1975. On the wall in my study are two Brown Bess's, a Lancaster pattern long rifle made by my uncle and a custom left handed flintlock long rifle made by me. I've got a BA in Amercian History from West Virginia University and have a passion for our first American Revolution. Yesterday I found myself again and after many years of not being used, my front end loaders will speak again, thanks to this forum. What a sight it will be on the firing line, shooting a brown bess or long rifle followed up with a M1 carbine or a Garand or my M1a.

Thanks

Welcome to the MLF! Lots of friendly knowlegable folks on the site. That would sure be a sight to be on the line with all the M1 and Garand shooters. Hint hint pic's.

Welcome to the forum. I'm glad to see you find muzzleloaders in your life again. Oh, I carried an M-1 when I was in service.

A big Texas howdy to ya! Welcome aboard. :hatsoff:

You just named off a bunch of my favorite guns. Sounds like it's going to be a fun day at the range.

You ain't alone there. pard. Many a trip to the range with a .22LR, a flinter, a M1 Carbine and a AR platform. Add a friends .62 cal flintlock smoothbore and his M1A, and you get a hellofa shutzenfest!

Welcome and enjoy!
