Hi I am new to the forum!
Here is a little about me:
About a year and a half ago I made a muzzleloader from a Lyman kit, only I did a lot of custom work on it. It shoots great after lapping the barrel(consistent two inch groups at 100 meters).
I do some competition shooting with the muzzleloader I made, and tend to do well with it.
Last year I bagged a small muley buck with my homemade smokepole. It was a lot of fun and very addicting! I ran into some other hunters (road hunters) and they were kind of poking fun at me about using such a primitive means of hunting especially shooting a round ball. What was kind of funny I had my buck on the ground with in an hour after talking with them. They later drove by with nothing bagged carrying their high powered 30-06 rifles.
I am going to hunt deer with my homemade smokepole again this deer season, but only this year I will be shooting my very own cast round balls!
Aim Small! and good luck to you all with you hunting and shooting adventures!
