Hi y'all
I'm a reNEWing muzzleloader, I did some re-enacting (Mountain Man Era) when living in Kansas, about 17-18 years ago. My skin's shrunk in that closet, (I could never have expanded, could I :shake: :shake: ????)
I moved to the land of Revolutionary War/ Civil War, South Carolina, and committed matrimony, so now I just do smokepole shootin'.
I retired from the U.S. Army as a medic, (hence, "Doc" has become a name that I've been known as for quite a while.)
I currently have 2 left-handed flinters, one a Tennessee style long rifle from Dixie, that had hung on the mantel for about 8 years, the other a Lyman Great Plains that was traded for them "shrinking" skins, about 15 years ago lol, along with some skins for boot. I also adopted a Jukar .45 Caliber blonde caplock Kentucky long-rifle a short time ago, which is the "iron" that convinced me to re-introduce myself to front-stuffers. My first "traditional" rifle was a Cabela's .45 Caliber, right handed Hawken style flinter, I truly liked shooting that rifle, but it put new meaning to "flinch-lock" being left handed, left eye dominant, a habit that I still have to try to overcome, when I shoot almost any rifle, from a shoulder held position.
Just wanted to introduce myself,
Doc
