I have been busy the past couple of weekends.

The previous weekend I built a new work bench to hold a tool chest for my tools along with my drill press. It also has six drawers to hold various tools and supplies. (I was getting tired of keeping my tools and other supplies in cardboard boxes. Now they have a safe place to be stored in.)

This past weekend I built a humidity box for browning gun barrels and the other metal parts for a gun build. I fashioned it simular to the one in Ron Ehlert's video.

One question I have is for those of you who have ever built one of these. Do any of you ever drill a couple of ventilation holes in the box or is it sealed up completely. I am guessing that it should be completely sealed up but want to double check if I did it right.

I built one using some scrap lumber. I didn't put any vent holes in it, but it isn't completely sealed either.

My "sweat box" has a flimsy wooden frame w/ baling wire strung all around and plastic sheeting taped to the wire. The bbl is suspended horizontally w/ wet towels on the bottom and the top is a sheet of 1/4" plywood that just lays on the frame and is far from being sealed which isn't necessary at all. Have browned many bbls w/ this setup and the results have always been excellent....Fred

Agree: I also just used the shower and left a few inches of hot water in the tub. Works great if for only a few builds.
