I finished making this Powder Horn today which I really like. I would like to offer it for sale for $225 (shipping included) to the lower 48. The horn measures 10.5" from nozzle to the Poplar base plug which measures 2 3/4" wide X 2" high.
I have etched a map of the northern fork of the Virginia side of the Great Bay of Chesapeake on one panel (copied from an old map). The obverse has the little hunter guy (I nickname him "Jakob" from my first etched horn) and there is also my own inscription "Be Kean of Eye And Powder Dry".
This was a really intricate bit of line work but I am pretty happy with it. It seems to have that nostalgic antique charm to it that I am after. I was thinking to keep this one also for a show this summer but only for these darned expenses...
Thanks for looking and I would be happy to answer any questions about it.
