hunting trips

The season is over here in NC and I'm already planning for
next year. What I wanted to put out here is question for
everyone and anyone who can offer sound advise. At this time, I'm looking into trip to Penna., Wisconsin or possibly
Kentucky. I'm interested in Kentucky but I believe the have a special game lands, where one can hunt in Primitive
clothing with primitve weapons. It would be special to hunt and camp under these conditions. Anyone with hunting experience in one or more of these states and will to offer
advise, it would be greatly appreciated. I guess what I'm
asking is which state has the most public land to hunt with
a good deer herd. I'd like to collect some meat but a quality hunting experience is what it's all about. :huh:

Michigan has lots and lots of public land, thanks to the lumber barons, and a pretty fair deer herd. Our muzzleloader season is just that, inlines with scopes are legal, and takes place in December, when it often gets a little chilly in Michigan. However, could easily fix you up with a place to hunt on private land and a fair chance of shooting a deer. Graybeard

We would venture to say Alaska (not a state you mentioned) has the greatest amount of public lands for hunting, etc. However, most of it is difficult to access.
