I am forgetfing my manners here.. This is my 3 or 4th post and I have yet to introduce myself.
Wes Smith is the name and I am from Charlotte, NC.
Ever since my dad built a T/C Hawken from a kit I have always been charmed by muzzle-loaders. There is just something about them, the smoke, the smell, the history ...it's all good!
Building a rifle has always been on my "To Do" list and I just can't wait any longer.
Charlotte had a gun-collectors show a few weeks back and there I splurged on 4 books. Thoughts of the Kentucky Rifle in the Golden Age, Colonial Rifles of America vols 1&2 and the "Greenville Gunsmith"
With this said you can see that I am in the research and discovery phase of my building process. Hope you guys are game 'cause I may have pleny of questions.
