I need a part

I've list my small lock bolt side plate.Already mortised in. My problem is the ones I find like it are wrong sided. The curled tail poits left on mine and right is all I can find.

the pic shows the wrong one mine has the tail curled left. TOW says that's the only way theirs is. So who makes or sells these. Maybe one of you good guys has one in their parts stash.

It's steel. I would l d try but I have no way to make the flat bottomed counter sink for the bold head.

You can still do it in mild steel.

i would drill the hole first ,then cut out the plate.

I've searched everywhere I could think of. I guess I can get a side plate big enough to cover this mortise and pu it in. Thanks

Don't waste time looking fir me. I actually have a long rifle plate I may be able to rework
Better yet I ordered a little fancier side plate than what I had. I believe the one I ordered will be what I use.

You can still do it in mild steel.

Yep. Buy the drill bit shaped like the one in Tom A. Hawk's post. Itll drill a flat countersink. I used exactly this kind of bit on my last couple builds.
