i need some ideas

i have a piece of hardwood measureing, 1-3/8" by 1-3/4" by 4" i am wondering if y'all could give me ideas about what 1800's-1840's piece of accoutrument i could make with it.

i also have a piece that is 1" by 3" by 5"
and one that it 1-1/4" by 1-1/2" by 5" and another that is 2-1/4" by 1-3/4" by 5" that last one is a gorgeous piece of spalted maple!

any other ideas...since i don't own a gun a loading block would be kind of useless to me...sorry guys.

how about knife handles?

 

i make knives and handles and such. but this is gorgeous wood. it's spalted maple, bolivian rosewood, wood, and purpleheart. i wanted to do something nicer than knife handles. something i could show off proudly at the next rondy. something i made from scratch with jsut a piece of wood.

How about using the different woods to make a checker or chess board, and the pieces? The games were very popular in past centuries and all good pubs had sets for their customers.

 

don't think i have enough wood for that. godo idea though i owuld love to do that. jsut not enough...dang!

I don't know if it would be PC, but how about a duck call. Sounds like some of the pieces you have would be about the right size.
