I want a T/C Seneca but there are not any for sale right now.

I want to build a kit gun.

What kit guns are there that are small like the Seneca and in .45?

I want a Pietta 1851 engraved white steel navy marshall. It was in stock when I found it, but I didn’t want to impulse buy, so I passed it up to get a little more recon on Pietta and the small load lever. It’s beautiful though.

Lol, I kind of messed up on the title. It's not a "I want" thread, it's an "I want a Seneca" thread. Sorry bout that.

Sitting fox offers a poor boy SMR in .36 and will customize the barrel to carbine length

Thanks for the sugestion.

........ to go hunting! Its been months!!! MONTHS!!!!! I tell you.

There are wild goats frequenting the Gun Club.
I wonder if............

OH and a Chambers English Fowler and a Kibler SMR and a Dunlap 10g. That's my bucket list. I want more skill at building as well.

Be patient. I see Senecas for sale from time to time. There have been some for sale here not too many months ago. Went to a local gun show last Saturday & there was a NIB Seneca in 45 cal with original receipt ($141 including tax) from 1977 & all the original papers in original factory box. It had never had the barrel in the stock!! My buddy bought it for $300 right as I was reaching for my wallet. He always was quicker on the draw. Put the word out you are looking for one & you may be surprised. Lot's of Senecas out there sitting in a dark safe for years that the owners never shoot that may see the light of day for the right price. Cherokees show up for sale too. They are basically a Seneca without some of the brass trim. Good luck!

I had a short barreled Pietta back in my CAS days
I think I used a short piece of PVC pipe over the short lever to ram things home.
Just don't use too big a ball and you will be fine.

Ok, now it's an "What you want thread".
But please throw in the occasional Seneca equal kit. Thanks, Bob.
Jim Kibler's southern mountain rifle kit is top shelf. In .45 caliber it weighs only 6 lbs, 9ozs. Just ordered one. That said, the only factory rifle I ever owned was a .45 caliber Seneca. Not a bad copy of a New England rifle and the most authentic rifle T/C ever made.

Although it's a 50 caliber, Traditions deerhunter rifle is available in a kit. Deercreek products has in stock for under $ 300.00.
24 inch barrel, very light weight, I think about 7 pounds.
They're good shooters.

I owned and hunted with one for over 20 years, and they are excellent shooters.

I want my Peter Gonter Lancaster County rifle back. Please.

No questions asked, just leave it behind my other car up against the wall.

And the powder horn, too, please.

Thanks.
