I'm holding a similar firearm right now based on your pictures and markings. It's an India-made sort-of copy of an Enfield percussion long arm, modern made. Mine (and I suspect yours) isn't a rifle, but a smooth bore. It's a two-band smoothie with a two piece teakwood stock, joined under the rear barrel band. Mine was purchased for me 45 years ago by my bride. I knew she was a keeper (the bride, that is) and time has proved that. The musket is proofed for firing and, like most smoothies, can be a hoot with either ball or shot. Yours appears to be a .55 caliber; mine is a .56. India made guns come under a lot of attacks on this forum but after 45 years of use, mine works just fine and, with proper care, I suspect yours will also.
