"In the Green" 12 1/2" South Carolina Double Banded CUSTOM POWDER HORN...3" across the turned plug with forged strap loop, 9" diameter at the base of plug, and a turned spout stopper. Right hand turn is very comfortable.

Horn has a greenish grey hue to the horn and almost a cherry wood sculpted spout with forged square strap staple and turned base plug. The pictures don't do it justice.

This is one awesome looking powder horn, Unfortunately I don't have any information on the builder. Maybe one of you recognize the horn that had to be built by a Master Horner.

$200.00 plus $10.00 shipping. PayPal Friends & Family preferred payment method.

I will be listing several other powder horns from my thirty year collection. This horn is rated in the top 1% of my collection and I hate to see it go.

Thanks for taking the time to view my ad.

Ray

I don't know about this horn but the greenish color might be because the horn was treated with copper sulphate.
This was done on some original horns to keep insects from damaging the horn by eating holes into it.

Thanks much for the information on potential reason for the green hue. Of the 80 plus horns in my collection this one is the only one with the greenish coloration.
