This is for you history people or thoes who have a better memory.I seem to recall an anticle in the NRA mag American Rifleman sometime ago giving details of inline muzzleloaders that were produced in the 1800's of before. The name Cooper or Patterson as the design or orginator comes to my foggy mind.
Can anyone of ya'll help?
Thanks in advance.

You can find things using a 'google search'...I've seen an occasional museum article indicating attempts to make what could be loosely called inline flintlocks and inline percussions, but never saw anything suggesting they went beyond experimentation into workable, useful prodiucts.
