Instead of deer, a fisher

I went out this morning with my Issac Haines .54 insearch of deer. Well about 6:30 i thought i saw a squirle go up the tree next to me. Then i realized that it was a fisher. so i watched him for a while. About 8:00 with out any sign of deer i decided i would take the fisher. I was thinken that you can get some money for a good fisher pelt. So I walked around the tree he was in a couple of times then he started to get all excited. He out strreched his head i put my sights on him and eased on the trigger. sure enough he was dead as could be. But the damn thing didnt fall. He's still up about 40ft in the tree now. It mihgt be nice if someone could help me fugure out how to get it down

1. Cut down the tree... :shake:

2. Go up after it...

3. Long rope tied to a heavy object, thrown threw the upper branches and then with both ends of the rope (or with 2 people) pull to shake the tree enough to let the fisher go... :thumbsup:

4. Shoot the branches off that support the expired fisher...

First off its is illegal in most states to shoot fisher :m2c:!!! But congrats anyhow well a male fisher might bring you 30.00 20.00 for a female i trap a few every year. But to get it down just shoot the branch is on .

The only problem is is that its really high up there, my uncle doesnt want to cut the tree down and theres to many vines and stuff to get to it wiht a rope or to knock it out

Get a ladder. Get a climbing tree stand. Get a linemans spikes and belt.

Its ok we got out the long ladder and put thta to the tree. Then we found the ice pick for gettign those blocks of ice to the size of the river or what not. and i climbed the ladder and got that pike on it and pulled him down now all i have to do is skin it and sell it.

Gee Ken dont it make you wanna throw up when u think about what the deer hunter does to a furbear just to make a few dollars !!!! My fisher take was low also i only got 4 females. If you need them let me know .Art
