Guys need some info for a possible project. I know that Investarms and T/C are Italian made locks. The T/C has a coil spring and the other has a main spring. What I wanted to know are the close enough in dimensions so I could fit an Investarms lock in to stock semi enletted for a T/C lock?

 dang I thought they were Italian too. Anyway still need to know it they'll fit close enough.

Why would you want to use an Investarms lock instead of a T/C? The Investarms have a coil mainspring just like the T/C does. I don't see where you arte gaining anything with one over the other.

You're right it is coil. I got some bad info. As to why. I happen to have a bunch of investarms parts and was hoping not to have to buy any T/C parts like lock and trigger. Since the barrels made by GM are suppose to interchange between them I thought maybe more parts might.

Well, you say it is semi inletted, so i would say, use whatever lock you want. You are going to have to finish the inletting anyway.

I think the double set triggers interchange. Check TOTW , I think they mention that the TC trigger will fit investarms/lyman.

Thanks for setting me straight guys. I was going confused about some items in the 2005 TOTW catalog. I checked their website and found what I was really loking for. Also learned they kicked up their prices on gun parts. :cursing:

Out of necessity I had made the swap myself. the locks interchanged with absolutely no fitting work to be done.It was just like they were made by the same co. .

I believe the older Investarm locks are virtually the same as the T/C locks and will interchange. However, Investarm apparently made a change at some point and there is a slight difference in the shape of the lock plate now. I have tried to interchange a newer Investarm lock with a T/C and while it is very close and could be done with some inletting, the lock plate is not the same. L&R seems to confirm this as they make one replacement lock that says it will replace both older Investarm and T/C locks. They make another replacement lock for current Investarm locks.

The Investarms lock I have is probably the older model as its atleast 25 years old. What got me thinking along the lines of a switch is that TOTW's catalog has a inletted stocks for the T/C and since I was looking at getting a GM barrel someday soon. thought another stock might be in order. Looking at the TOTW's website shows that they do have Investarms stocks not listed in the 2005 catalog.
