My daughter inherited this gun from her Dad's estate several years ago not knowing what it was. I told her to bring it over and lets take a look at it. It is a Dart 1858 Remington replica. From what I can gather these were imported by EXCAM, a Hialeah, FL. based company that stopped imports in 1990. I had never heard of Dart. I disassembled the gun, did a cleaning and it seems to be in good shape. Very strong mainspring and a stiff action. About .010" endshake and the barrel looks good. Is anyone familiar with this gun and how common (or not) it may be or have any info of interest on it?

I've got a brass frame .36 Dart. They pop up every now and again, but don't seem to be as common as some of the other imports.

They weren't of the highest quality, but similar to many of the other budget imports of the time.

Thanks! How, where, did you find your Dart?

Picked it up off of Gunbroker a couple of years ago. I don't remember what I paid for it, but I know it wasn't much.
