Last two orders of 7/8x1” flints came in the little zip lock baggie. Labeled as “FLINT-ENG-7”. The first order I thought was a mistake and then I ordered another to have while I was waiting on the exchange for the first order. Nope. The second order of a dozen came today and they’re smaller and lesser quality than the first.

None of them are even close to 7/8x1” and none of the two dozen are even remotely close to the nice black translucent flint like the ones I received just a few months ago. They are also napped pretty poor. I guess supply is getting scarce.

I’m returning them as I was told to do but don’t want another batch of garbage.

Anyone else have an issue with their flints lately?

I always request "no humpbacks" in the notes and have always got flat flints. The price just continues to go up. Over the last few years they have gone from $2.30 to now $3.10. I got some in Oct. and they were $2.80. It is what it is, it's not like they are made in a factory, still hand made by skilled artisans.
