Greetings all,
I was chatting with a friend of mine who frequently peruses the forum here and he told me he had seen a reference to the powder horn belonging to Isreal Boone, Daniels older brother, somewhere in the forum. As he was on a quest for a different topic, he could not recall in which category he had seen it. For my part, I am a direct descendent and bp enthusiast and have been looking for both the horn and his rifle which I have found documentation to have been passed down in another branch of the family years ago. My quest is for pictures primarily, in order to reproduce a close copy for my persona, but a possible purchase would not be out of the question. Does anyone recall seeing this topic, or have any additional knowledge of these items?
This is an exciting venue and I don't know why I had'nt heard of it earlier! Thanks!

There's a place in Hellerstown, PA "The Lost River Caverns" that has a good collection of old firearms. I know one of the rifles is noted to belong to Daniel Boone. I don't know what kind of documentation they have.

Here's a website. You'll find one sentence that mentions the firearms collection.

Enter the web site, then go to next page, then read Gilman Museum.
