Thanks for the replies guys. Actually, it's not my gun but one I'd just seen for sale on GunBroker. The owner is representing it as an original, not intentionally just from lack of knowledge I think. He has an opening bid of $8,000 :shocked2: on it. It has been antiqued, but one of the pictures clearly shows the Italian proof marks.
I'm going to contact him & let him know what he has so he can amend his description 7, hopefully, the opening bid amount, not that I think anyone would place a bid for $8K anyway!
