I need a tang screw for the old Navy Arms .58 Hawken Hunter. Wondering if the screw for the Zouave carbine has same threads? Dixie has those in stock. Their smith is out all week, so I can't ask him.

Zoli made a lot of the BP arms for Navy Arms and I once had a friend who had a 58-cal Springfield made by Ranson that needed a tang bolt and it was the same thread as my Zoli tang. But agree that you should figure out what length you need, then a good hardware store should have one. You can fire blue or cold blue it, even re-shape the head profile too, as/if needed.

I have a Zouave by FARA. Like 2 shots suggested, I took the trigger guard to my local ACE hardware and was able get a screw that worked. It was a philips head so not HC and I had to blue it but it worked. If nothing else a hardware store can identify the thread size for you. Good luck.

For Italian screws, I'd check with Geppetto, who put Picocchio together! (Just kidding, but it should be easy for you to find. Good luck!
