ive got 2 more Thompson centers coming my way, one will be here Monday the other Tuesday. The first is a Thompson center Black mountain magnum comes with a 1-28 twist. Dave from no excuse bullets has my 600 grain .50 conicals in the mail for this rifle, the second is a Thompson center greyhawk in .50 the previous owner stated it shoots.490 roundballs with a .018 ticking patch so that's what ill start with. ive got plenty of Lee Reals made up and over 1,000 roundballs moulded up. I look forward to getting these rifles sighted in with their favorite load

Purchased 4 muzzle loaders in the past year. Bought a 45 cal CVA Kentucky rifle for few dollars at a garage sale cause my wife wanted it next to fireplace and once home I had to shoot it. Then I became interested in some small calibers and bought a 45 and 32 TC Cherokee and a 36 TC Seneca. Really new to PRB shooting but learning a lot and so much more enjoyable than modern guns.

Sometimes I get the impression you guys actually WANT the rest of us to hate you. 2 rifles, 4 rifles....I'd do well to come up with that many in a decade. :cursing: :shake: :shocked2:

I am one that bit the bullet too. Got a Traditions .50 cal rifle Friday from Track of the Wolf, and a .32 cal rifle from a company up in Oregon on Saturday. Shot them both this morning with mixed results. Should do these things one gun at a time really.

many men here told me 2 years ago welcome to the addiction, I laughed thoughed ok, 10 muzzleloaders later I'm still am wanting more, its funny at first I started shooting all conical bulletsm now I have 5 dedicated roundball guns. I'm now wanting a flintlock. thankfully I have a job that I get quarterly bonuses that's where my bonus goes

Hanshi I kept reading this forum and after shooting my garage sale find for a few weeks decided that I had to have a 32 squirrel gun. After searching without success I bought the 45 Cherokee with the intention of buying a 32 barrel. Then I found the 32 and 36 pair and couldn't walk away so I am a victim of circumstance. I am planning on a 40 custom build later this year and am going to need a lot of advice before I take the plunge. Buying guns now just a few more years till I retire and mad money is gone.

yes sir I forgot ive got a .56 smoothbore bobby hoyt did for me I haven't bessed with it yet though but its from a hawken that I put a green mountain .54 1-66 twist round ball barrel

When you get right down to it, a man just can't resist; so why try. You are well on your way, my friend.

I agree totally Mr. Fred, ive had many people mentor me along the way I'm very appreciative of everything everyone has done for me. I'm working hard to pass it on to others ive gotten enough interest we may be forming a club soon.

After reading this I realized that, of my 10 muzzleloaders, I haven't fired four of them yet. maybe this will be a better year.

rmark!
You obviously have too many muzzleloaders!
You should pass them on to us.
Who really do enjoy shooting someone else's guns, specially if we use their powder & balls. :hmm:
