I would like some in formation on a J LUTZ FLINTLOCK 32 CALIBER RIFLE,the gun is 60 inches long with a curly maple stock, would like to know age value collectability Thanks Mark

When you post pictures, it would be good to post a picture of the name on the barrel as well, so we can see if engraved in script or stamped. It helps date a gunsmith's work. Best pictures to post would be "standard" shots of the gun:
1. front "half shot" view showing full butt out to about 8" past lock plate,
2. rear "half shot" view showing back side's full butt to about 8" past where lock plate is on other side,
3. full length of front side
4. if patchbox, or any carving at rear pipe, good to show a close-up picture of it.
5. good view of lock plate, so we can see if a converted flint, or original percussion.
There was a Jesse Lutz working as a percussion era gunsmith in PA.
