SOLD Jackie Brown .62cal Trade Gun

I have for sale a Jackie Brown trade gun in .62 caliber. All the furniture is steel, the lock is an L&R Queen Ann, the stock I think is ash but I am not certain so if someone wants to chime in with an identification feel free, barrel is octagon to round with wedding band ring transition, there is a rear sight dovetailed into the octagon section ,the bore is clean with no signs of corrosion, the touch hole is not bushed.The lock throws a good shower of sparks and the amount of wear on the frizzen shows the gun has not been shot a lot. The metal parts have been given an antiqued worn brown finish that I find quite pleasing giving it a look of a gun that has been used but not abused. There is a very small chip of wood missing from the rear of the tang, see photo.
The specifics are weight 4lbs 130z, overall length 45&1/2in ,barrel length 30in, length of pull 14in, drop at heel 2in. The gun will ship in a hard gun case to anywhere in the CONUS it is legal to ship to.
I am asking $900 plus shipping. Payment by postal money order or personal check with time to clear.

I ain't too sure that's cherry. But it sure looks ok!!

I thought it was Ash however another member PM'd me a picture of his that is cherry stocked and the grain pattern looked identical. Not really important both are good wood for gunstocks and Jackie is known to use both.

Looks like Ash to me. Look at the chip at the tang. Ask chips like that. Definitely not Cherry. Semper Fi.

That rifle is gorgeous. Really one of the prettiest stocks I have seen. That is art.
