Gee guys
I have tried to keep you posted put hey my kit hasn't arrived. They told me in a week over a2 months ago... darn it... "O" wells I will just keep waiting... Darn I hope it's worth it... Loyalist dawg

Keep ragging them.

I don't remember if they are one of the ones who pull this kind of stuff but there are several of them.

I would accept "We haven't gotten around to your order.", or "We really don't like to ship an order until it's complete and we are having trouble getting the _______." or even "We are so busy, your order got buried under all of the other peoples orders. We can't find it but we know it's here somewhere." but when some lamebrain says "It will be delivered in two weeks." I expect the SOB to have it delevered, in two weeks, even if he has to get in his car and drive it there.

Who did you order your kit from? I'll make a mental note to not buy from them. That's the kind of customer service that will put them out of business. :nono:

I suppose it would be time to simply say---DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THE RIFLE SHOPPE---all we hear is their failure to provide the goods, reply to e-mails and threaten people who call to complain---does the term BOYCOTT---sound familiar. To those who are having problems, try doing a Google for the state in which they do business and get on the Attorney General's site and file a complaint. To often we curse the darkness and fail to light a candle. :(

A buddy of mine wanted to order four locks and called to see if they were in stock. Well, they needed to be cast, and he ordered them, warning them not to charge his card until the castings were shipped. In the end everything worked out well. He got his castings without trouble.

Myself and a builder freind of mine have ordered a lot of thing from TRS, and yes, it takes a loooooooong time to get things from them. We usually plan on around a year to get what we ordered to come in, if it's early, we're happy.
Complaining to state authorities or boycotting isn't going to change the way things are. It's a small operation doing some mighty fine and unusual work you can't find eleswehere. I know that that's not going to sit well with a lot of folks and I understand that, but you'r not going to get walmart type service with small operations.
Yes, a person in business should always take care of his customers in a timely manner and deliver when stated, but in this case, the part's are worth the wait,IMHO.

I've never heard of them threatening anyone...
Might you be confusing them with someone else?

The pros and cons of TRS have been discussed here ad nauseum. Anyone who knows how to use the search function on the forum knows that to avoid log delays they must ONLY order whats currently in stock.

Otherwise plan months or years ahead in your building schedule and nurture the virtue of saintly patience :)
