I've been considering a Jeff Tanner mould, but I've never seen the ball that it throws. If someone has a JT mould, how does the ball measure in all different directions? Ex: If you have a .490 mould, is it .490 across no matter where you measure or is the ball 'out of round' in those moulds? If your ordered a .490 or what ever size, does it actually measure .490? or is the ball too small or too large?
I've had poor luck and poor quality with another brass mould in the past, thus the reason for all the questions.
Thanks and I look forward to your reply ........

Rusty, I have a Jeff Tanner mould..got it when I switched from .49 to .48 balls...I've never bothered to measure the balls, and don't plan to start now. They do roll correctly, with no deviation...they shoot well, and the mould itself is so beautifully made it is almost a work of art...Jeff didn't just engrave the caliber as I expected, he added my name to the opposite side. I consider mine money well spent..Hank

ditto to what hank said..i've never heard a complaint about jeffs molds...mine work great an i recommend them highly!

I have a .672 that makes a .672 ball. I measured a some balls when I first got it and don't really any problems. I think you will find his moulds make a rounder ball than the various swaged ones you buy. But that is not saying much I guess.
If I needed an odd size I would order from him with no hesitation.

I have several of Jeffs molds and they all pour a ball that shoots well, I did measure some balls back when I got the first molds and they were right on to the ordered size, I just measure some .500/.600 and .705 balls and they were within a thousandth+ from being perfectly round.this is closer than the swagged balls I have from Hornady, and the same as some molded balls I have from a Lyman .375 mold
